We made it!

Sydney's first day of Acquire therapy
Ethan doing his "therapy" with daddy
Well, we made it safely to Alabama. Sydney and Ethan did great on the drive. Our apartment is pretty nice. It has a couple mystery smells, but it has lots of room and it's in a good complex in a nice part of town. Sydney got her cast on today and had her first few hours of therapy. She did really well.

Ethan kept pulling his sleeve down over his hand so it looked like he had a cast too, and he got a little jealous of the time that the therapist was spending with Sydney. We'll have to give him lots of extra attention during our stay, which shouldn't be hard to do because it seems like I will have lots of free time to spend with him while Sydney is working with the therapist.

Tonight we had Sydney's favorite dinner-chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant, then we went to the mall and let Sydney and Ethan ride the Christmas carousel. I started a web page to update everyone on Sydney's progress during the Acquire program the address is www.caringbridge.org/visit/sydneyelizabeth Feel free to visit the site for more details surrounding her progress.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

We celebrated grandpa Waack's birthday on Sunday. Grandpa was the guest of honor, but the cake was the star of the show in Sydney and Ehan's eyes. Sorry for the big gap in postings, I'm going to try to get better about that :-)

Edventure

We visited Edventure in Columbia last week with some friends. Edventure is a hands on children's museum with tons of fun things for the little ones to do. They always have a traveling exhibit and this time it was a castle theme. Sydney and Ethan had a blast dressing up and playing in the pretend castle with their friends Will and Caroline. Ethan really enjoyed cooking-he cooked everything-even the dishes:-) They also got to play in the kid sized store, and climb through a tractor, a new VW bug, and a fire truck. The trip was a huge sucess. We can't wait to go back!

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween! Sunday we particpated in trunk-or-treat at our church. Everyone filled their trunks with candy and we went from car to car collecting goodies. On Tuesday we carved our pumpkin and trick-or-treated in our neighborhood. Sydney and Ethan got tons of candy that we have been helping them enjoy! In case you can't tell from the pictures, Sydney was a witch and Ethan was a bat.
